Meet Karthik: an introvert by nature and shy by choice. Karthik suffers with huge confidence issues and is miserable at his just average job that yields less than average results.
His boss treats him like dirt. Shonali, his colleague who he secretly loves doesn’t even know he exists. Karthik is a loser, Konws it, and accepts it.
Karthik believes his life cant get any worse and then suddenly one night, it happens; The phone rings. And Karthik speaks to someone he never thought he would. He speaks to a man who also claims to be Karthik. The man on the phones says that he is here to change Karthik’s life.
Upcoming movie Karthik Calling Karthik audio released in Mumbai by Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar. Movie is romantic thriller starring Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, and directed by Vijay Lalwani.

Farhan said after the music release “The music of the film has been done of course by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with whom I have always enjoyed working. They are absolute geniuses. Every song of this film is truly outstanding for me.”
“It is a complete album. There are happy songs, there are sad songs, and there is a song that can be played in a nightclub,” he added.
Mumbai, Jan.31 – Bollywood’s latest romantic thriller promises to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats. ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ by Vijay Lalwani is a romantic thriller which revolves around an introvert, Karthik.
“Karthik Calling Karthik, is a romantic thriller. You can call it a romantic suspense as well and Karthik’s character is that of a very normal person. But he has some emotional issues because of which he has become unconfident,” said Farhan Akhtar, lead actor and one of the producers of ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’.
Karthik is a very sad and frustrated individual who has lots of emotional issues. How his life changes when he starts getting calls from a person by the same name forms the premise of the film.
The film shows what these calls are all about and what’s the price Karthik pays for these calls.
Actress Deepika Padukone plays the love interest of Karthik in the film.
“She (her character in the film) is like today’s girl. She’s confident, she’s independent, she’s focussed, she speaks her mind, she has fun when she goes out. Basically, she’s the complete contrast to Karthik’s character and I think that’s how they get along. She’s responsible for bringing him out of his shell,” said Padukone.
The Story : Karthik Calling Karthik is the story of a lovable loser Karthik, whose life changes with the help of someone who also claims to be Karthik. A thrilling, soulful and romantic journey of this man's victory against all odds.
NEW DELHI - The cast of upcoming Bollywood romantic thriller “Karthik calling Karthik” promoted their film here on Monday.
‘Karthik calling Karthik’, directed by Vijay Lalwani, is a romantic thriller that revolves around an introvert, Karthik.
The music of the film is composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The lyrics have been penned by Javed Akhtar.
Shankar Mahadevan said that the movie had a lot of western music.
Deepika Padukone, who plays the lead character of Shonali in the film, shared her views about her new look.
“Well the new look is a part of Shonali’s character, Shonali has a character, she is very outgoing, very confident, she is independent, she is like the girl of today, and I think the haircut really complements that. Today if I heard of a girl called Shonali and if I heard with these characteristics, I would definitely imagine her with short hair,” she said.
Karthik, played by singer-actor Farhan Akhtar, is a very sad and frustrated individual who has lots of emotional issues. How his life changes when he starts getting calls from a person by the same name forms the premise of the film.
