A quarter century ago, John Badham was directing classics like Saturday Night Fever and WarGames. It's a tragedy, then, to find him directing made for TV movies these days -- for Lifetime, no less.

At least he's got the comely Jenna Elfman on his side in this true crime drama, which thank God is not nearly as horrible as you might be expecting. The pitch: He (Charles Powell) is a fancy pants doctor and says she's been stalking him mercilessly. She (Elfman) says they had a long-term relationship and she just got a little upset there at the end.

Is she in the right or she is totally nuts? Suffice it to say it's not an open and shut case, with a little deception from both sides of the fence. (A legal system that's appropriately revised for television helps keep things moving along, too.)

This is totally the kind of movie that works on TV and is tailor-made for commercial breaks and offers a guess-it-if-iyou-can ending. Badham, though, deserves credit for turning yet another "Long Island Lolita" story into a passable movie. Memo to Hollywood: Give John a real movie to direct. Please.

review

I watched this movie three times... I like the humor even though it just a simple storyline. For me, the story of this movie is not 'heavy' like Jangan Tegur. I also like the role played by shahiezy sam. He did his cast excellently even this is his first experience (i think) doing the humorous movie . At first i saw him, i thought he is Benji. His face is quite similar with Benji (the son of one of Malaysian veteran actress). I dislike the 'ghost ', the make up is not real! The song of three ghost ladies near the cave is really sweet but the dubbing is having a problem.. I mean i can see clearly that their lips movements are bit slow than the song. The 1st rape scene also 'dull', the new actress didn't do it well.. In malay we said like 'kayu'.. but fortunately Mazlan Pet Pet acting can 'cover' a bit her weakness in acting.

Malayalam movie Doctor-Patient 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Viswanathan, who had earlier directed Out of Syllabus, tries comedy in Doctor Patient, produced by Ramprasad under the banner of A.R.Films.

The story of Doctor Patient, as the title itself suggests, is set against a hospital, a mental hospital to be exact. It's in this hospital that young Rueben Isaac comes to work as a doctor, after completing his education abroad. Rueben Isaac is brimming with new thoughts and ideas, which he implements in the hospital. His way of treatment is different and unconventional. He shows love and care towards the mentally afflicted patients and gives them much more freedom than they used to get.

Rakhi Devdas, who had studied Hospital Management in the U.S and who is the Managing Director of the hospital, is very strict. She is opposed to the ways of Rueben Isaac, as a result of which clashes happen between the two. Rakhi even wonders whether Rueben is mad himself. It's in this situation that another psychiatrist comes in, and then the story takes a funny turn. While Jayasurya plays Rueben Isaac, Mukesh is the new psychiatrist. Radha Varma, who had debuted in Mollywood with Crazy Gopalan, becomes Rakhi Devdas.

review

If you have been looking forward to to gain some priceless insights into the intricate mechanics of matrimony from Saji Surendran's debut film, you are likely to be let down. It's an unfortunate assortment of terrible choices, wasted chances and a real squander of a fine cast.

The day his final exams are over in college, Vivek (Jayasurya) decides that he wants to get married. He confesses to his closest mate Tresa (Samvrutha Sunil) that he has been having a tough time lately with his dreams, with almost every other gorgeous woman on and off the block making an appearance in them as his wife. Back home, he manages to convince his parents and ties the knot with a Radio jockey with an acid tongue, Kavya (Bhama) who's apprehension personified when it comes to her groom.

The hypothetical insinuation on the title that tops it up with a question mark at the end totally went over my head. I mean, they are very well married leaving no space around for those ifs and buts. Why the doubt then, why the speculation?

I have got some serious issues with films that claim to be all gung-ho with regard to modernism. All that talk about women's lib and more of that flows in profusion from the RJ's mouth before she bangs the phone down in disgust at the chauvinist boar at the other end. For a moment, we think the girl has got her head in the right place and then she gets married. And immediately turns out to be a green-eyed, nagging monster who can't bear to see her hubby dear chatting up with his bestest girl friend.

Almost all the assumptions that the film bases itself on are infantile. And most of the characters in it are still in their adolescence even though they are well past their prime. Take Vivek's parents for instance who have been estranged for a while, but who spend their miserable lives in opposite apartments, so that their lad would never know what it is to have separated parents. So you have the dad-son-in-extreme-ecstasy picture donning the living room in Flat 9A and mom-son-on-a-joyride pic hung up for good in Flat 9B. And sonny flitting between the apartments on alternate nights.

The most astonishing thing about the film is that there isn't a moment when your heart goes out to the pair-in-distress. How on earth does one sympathize with a moron who has done his MBA with not a clue as to how an onion looks like? If you ask me, the writer's attempts to make Vivek look like a lamb-on-a-hot-air-balloon crash-land disastrously. As it is, he comes across as an idiot who could very well do with some spanking that he had obviously missed out some time earlier on.

The final revelation that Vivek throws on Kavya's face along with yours, is a catastrophe. I have been trying to push myself into believing that the guy isn't as unripe as the whole world believes him to be. And then he goes about delivering on why have wanted to tie the knot in the first place, (that's a spoiler, if you could call it that) and boy, it was even funnier than all of Suraj's antics put together.

It's then that we realize that it was a grave mistake that the kid got married. Seriously, he ought to be in kindergarten, if his mind works like that at 22.

Saji Surendran's film looks picture perfect, if you steer your gaze away from the interiors that resemble playschools. It has been beautifully shot, and his eye for visual detail finds a noteworthy expression in the song sequences, which are undoubtedly among the best in recent years. Performances are pretty fine through out, though a script as this neither insists on spectacular feats nor extracts histrionic delights from its actors.

'Ivar Vivahitharayal' beats a dead horse for a good three hours, and appears rather dull despite all the happenings in it all the while. A knock-off on several triumphant marriage capers that have preceded it, it boasts neither of their sparkle nor shine.

Telugu movie Evaraina Epudaina 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

The film Evaraina Epudaina with the tagline Preamalo Padocchu is another teenage romance film. The story is nothing new and its the same old story – boy meets girl, falls in love and then he does some goofy and even foolish things, all in the name of love. And the boy wins her heart and they live happily together.

Varun Sandesh throws some object onto a mirror disappointed about missing the heroine, you would want to do the same to the screen, throw something for being treated to a lackluster story. But what is the story. To put it in a nutshell, the hero and the heroine have a conversation, the heroine leaves. The hero tells himself that by the time he counts ten, the lady will turn around and see him and if she does she is in love with him. He counts four, but breaks the vase beside and the lady turns..whether to see what the noise is all about or if she has really fallen for him one doesn't know.

Here the act means, the hero wants to make it happen, love happen, even if it means breaking the vase to get her attention or play dirty by breaking the heroine's engagement.

Varun Sandesh is a happy-go-lucky type, collects info of the weak points of individuals and blackmails them. On one occasion he spots the heroine, falls for her and when he decides to propose to her she declares she is in love with his friend whom he introduced once. Not losing heart, he resolves to play spoilsport by creating a misunderstanding, situation where in all the people begin to hate Varun's friend or the would-be groom.

The rest of the story is about Varun's retribution, there is a parallel story of a villain that keeps running amuck. Though the hero is Varun, the audience gets an overdose of him from frame one. He is everywhere all over the screen, chattering, talking nineteen to the dozen. He is full of energy but he elicits very few genuine laughing moments, courtesy a boring script.

Tamil movie Valmiki 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Akhil, who impressed viewers with his performance in "Kalloori" plays the lead character Poonakkan Pandi in "Valmiki"

The film is produced by P. Sreenivasan for Vikatan Talkies. G. Ananthanarayanan, who worked as an assistant to director Shankar, makes his debut as director with this film. He was a student of the Film Institute.

Playing opposite Akhil is Meera Nandan, a newcomer to Kollywood. She has acted in the Malayalam film "Mulla". In "Valmiki", she plays a deglamorised role. She is named Vandana and runs a crèche for kids.

After Akhil and Meera, the third most important character is played by another newcomer Shruti Nair. She plays a flower vendor and her dreams remain dreams.

Why the film is titled "Valmiki"? Just as Sage Valmiki contributed the Ramayana to society, the protagonist, Poonakkan Pandi, sacrifices his all for the good of society. The film focuses on his contributions. It also takes a closer look at fundamental human rights.

According to the director, the film has no fights. In fact, the film does not have a villain. However, it is a commercial film with a mixture of action, sentiments and romance. It will be made as realistic as possible, he says.

Akhil feels his role in the film is a challenging one and that it is totally different from the one in "Kalloori".

One important feature is Ilayaraja has agreed to score the music. But the recording of the songs will be done after Ilayaraja sees the full movie - post montage.

N. Alagappan is the cinematographer and V.T. Vijayan is the editor. Vaali has written the lyrics.

Chennai is where the entire film will be shot. It is expected to be ready for Deepavali.

Tamil movie Mayandi kudumbathar 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Mayandi Kudumbathar" meaning Mayandi's family, is a parade of directors-turned-actors past their prime led by the bearded Manivannan.

Thespian Sivaji Ganeshan overacted in similar emotional tripe comprising of improbable family situations that went out of fashion in the sixties - made primarily to boost his sagging political career.

The tale is all about a family head Mayandi (Manivannan) whose offsprings fight like cats and calm down only after their old man's interventions.

The son, an engineering student Paraman (Tarun Gopi) woos the homely college-damsel Poongodi while the two families oppose the alliance for god only knows what.

One fine day Mayandi drops dead but everything ends well after the old man is rendered justice posthumously.

The cliched storyline has been seen in several Tamil plays earlier.

Manivannan does the expected and overacts - according screen-space to his erstwhile directorial colleagues who are all past their prime.

Cinematography, script, dialogues and music are silly and shoddy.

Tamil movie Nadodigal 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

n an industry where friendship and loyalty are most often not reciprocated, the duo of Sasikumar and Samuthirakkani are quite different. Sasikumar made the latter play an important role in his "Subramaniapuram" while he plays the hero in Samuthirakkani's "Nadodigal". It's indeed a mystery as to why many top actors refused to do this film - their loss is only Sasikumar's gain as he excels in the role offered to him.

Sasikumar's subtle underplay has enhanced the effectiveness of his character. As an actor, his array of facial expressions is quite bewildering. Bharani emotes in an extraordinary manner throughout the film.

In the film, Karuna (Sasikumar), Chandran (Vijay Vasanth) and Pandian (Bharani) are three youths in a small town. They share a good camaraderie and their friendship spills over to their respective families too.

One day, Karuna's close friend Saravanan makes a suicide bid unable to bear his failure in love. The girl is the daughter of a bigwig while Saravanan is the son of a powerful former legislator. The friends try their best to unite Saravanan and his ladylove but are shattered when their plans go awry.

The film does carry an appealing message for today's jet-age society - it's shocking yet powerful.

Each and every actor has managed to get under skin of the characters they have been asked to portray. Karuppu keeps the audience in good humour with his comic act. Bharani, Vijay and Sasi have all put in top-notch performances while the leading ladies Abhinaya, Anaya and Nivetha don't disappoint either.

Hollywood movie Hannah Montana 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Googly-eyed Disney muppet Miley Cyrus makes her inevitable big-screen debut in Hannah Montana: The Movie, and the nicest thing one can say about the film is that at least it's not The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: The Movie. A tweener saga that's been crafted mainly with focus-group tests in mind, Hannah's maiden cinematic offering delivers a combination of romance, humor, music, glamour and yay-country-living blather that aims to satisfy the cross-platform franchise's myriad devotees. Given Hannah's roots on a Disney channel show whose primary claim to fame is schooling young television viewers in the finer nuances of sitcom pratfalls and laugh tracks, as well as the illustrious record of director Peter Chelsom, he of Town & Country and Shall We Dance? ignominy, it's hard to feign surprise at the dispiriting results of this movie-cum-brand-marketing-tool. Yet the lengths to which it goes to satisfy a wide array of interests is, even in the wake of its High School Musical kindred spirits, somewhat astonishing, pandering in so many directions that enduring the film is akin to being drawn and quartered.

As everyone interested already knows, Miley Stewart (Cyrus) is an average brunette teen by day, and blonde-wigged pop princess Hannah Montana by night. It's a superhero dual-identity situation that she maintains even though – as indicated by an intro concert sequence in which he hangs out backstage – Miley's dad Robby Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus) isn't very discrete when it comes to hiding his relationship to Hannah. This carelessness makes little sense, especially in light of the fact that the story partially revolves around a nosy tabloid journalist (Peter Gunn) attempting to dig up dirt on the singer. After a public fight over shoes with Tyra Banks – a battle between vapid egomaniacs that, alas, leaves both unscathed – and ruining best friend Lilly's (Emily Osment) sweet sixteen party, Miley is spirited away by dad (for "Hannah detox") to grandma Ruby's (Margo Martindale) Tennessee home, a pastoral paradise where girls are free to turn their heads for maximum slow-motion hair-twirling, where hunky cowboys (Lucas Till's Travis) ride steeds through the morning mist, and where evil developers plotting to transform the open range into a strip mall can be thwarted by a mobilized community and a pop star concert. Oh yes, and where the other artists on the film's soundtrack, namely Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift, conveniently also live.

Hollywood movie The Hangover 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

The Hangover oozes laughter as it doesn’t count so much on huge punch lines as much as it remains dedicated to keeping you smiling throughout. Directed by Old School helmer Todd Phillips, the film never gives the audience a chance to rest their face as your mouth will curl upwards right from the start and keep you in perma-grin for the duration with enough hearty laughs in-between to make this a bonafide contender for comedy of the year.

The movie begins with the phone call of doom from Las Vegas. Phil (Bradley Cooper) phones Doug’s fiancée to tell her Doug (Justin Bartha) is missing and they can’t find him even though he is supposed to be getting married in Los Angeles in five hours. “Yeah, that’s not gonna happen,” Phil tells her and we are off. The Hangover steps back in time previewing the events that led up to what must have been one of the wildest bachelor parties we will never see and therein lies this film’s mystery and brilliance. It’s a bachelor party movie that doesn’t rely on showing the audience the actual party. Instead we lay witness to Phil, Stu (Ed Helms) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) as they struggle to piece together what happened the night before in an attempt to find the missing groom and all that’s left is for us to enjoy the insanity.

It seems hard to believe, but almost every step of the way The Hangover gets it exactly right. From a comedic aspect we watch as the trio try to figure out how one of them lost a tooth, how a baby got in their closet, how Mike Tyson’s tiger got in their bathroom and why the hotel valet just brought around their cop car. But even more important, along the way we actually begin to care about what happens to them, which is the one piece of this film I wasn’t ready for.

Stu is a dentist planning on proposing to a witch of a controlling woman; Phil is the playboy type yet his life is a bit more subdued involving a wife and a child; while Alan is the brother-in-law-to-be who isn’t all there upstairs. Despite their differences, these three manage to come together in a way most movies wouldn’t even attempt. Alan looks up to Phil as a younger brother would look up to his cool older brother, a relationship I thought sold the entire film. Phil laughs at Alan’s insane statements and never takes to putting him down even though that is exactly where this film could have, and would have, gone in the hands of most directors. It’s the joy, camaraderie and exasperation these three share throughout that makes the film so funny. I mean, what else is there to say after being beaten with a crow bar by a naked Korean mobster you found in your trunk than, “That guy was mean!” It’s comments such as this that send the movie over the top.

The glue holding all of this together is the performance of Galifianakis. While both Cooper and Helms are terrific in their performances, it wouldn’t have worked if Galifianakis played the role of Alan, the bearded and overweight newcomer to the group, with too much gusto. Galifianakis has managed to do in one film role what Dan Fogler was expected to do when he first hit the scene. But while Fogler tried to make audiences laugh with boisterous reactions, Galifianakis plays it cool and subdued, allowing the comedy to come out of his character naturally proving you don’t have to be loud and obnoxious to be funny, you just have to be… funny.

Another tribute to this film is that it isn’t trying to be a Judd Apatow knock-off, which seems to be the trend in Hollywood nowadays. The protagonists are stripped down and more realistic. When they have outbursts it sounds real as opposed to the sticky sweet characters in an Apatow feature that seem to occasionally suffer from bouts of uncontrollable cursing meant to be funny because they come out of nowhere, not because they are legitimately funny.

It’s been a long time since I actually found a traditional comedy this funny. Last year I enjoyed the black-comedy In Bruges and this year I already enjoyed the hell out of the Brit-comedy In the Loop, but it feels good to once again laugh at a Hollywood based R-rated comedy that doesn’t rely solely on sight gags and cursing for its only laughs. Walking out of The Hangover I honestly felt my face start to relax from laughter. This film is 100 minutes of comedy you aren’t going to want to miss.

This film takes place where the skateboarding culture is most foreign, the Midwest. Like all skaters, Derrick Cabrera dreams of being sponsored and one day going pro. He is an up-and-coming skater with all the talent, but he has the world against him. His parents and classmates cannot understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eyes. He is only accepted in his skater crew of friends, but as he gets better and better, some of those friends become his biggest rivals. After getting arrested and facing ultimatums with his father and girlfriend, he runs away with his skateboarding crew to Florida for a big skateboarding contest that will change his life. A street skateboarder’s constant battles are showcased through Derrick Cabrera’s character and the film’s amusing yet serious plotline.

With the attention "Street Dreams" is sure to garner, Rob Dyrdek hopes to continue to gain momentum for a true skateboarding movement that will open the door for serious social issues to be investigated and rectified. There are over 10 million self-identified street skateboarders in the US alone, and the majority is actively seeking natural obstacles found in urban public environments, which is illegal and sometimes harshly enforced. Until now, authorities have chosen to ignore police brutality toward skateboarders—there are even prevalent videos online showing young male and even shockingly female skateboarders getting beaten by cops caught on tape. Tired of skateboarders being treated as nuisances by public authorities, Dyrdek has taken it upon himself to change how the world sees the sport. After great struggle, Dyrdek was recently able to get through to the City of Los Angeles, and he even rode the world’s largest skateboard through L.A. with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who now supports Dyrdek and his efforts. In February 2009, Dyrdek created and launchedSafe Spot, Skate Spot through his foundation and in conjunction with the city of Los Angeles. The new skateboarding haven gives street skateboarders a safe and legal area to skate in a park’s natural landscape complete with the desired elements such as park benches and rails. The Safe Spot Skate Spot Program will help cities meet needs of skateboarders, and interference with traffic, residents, and businesses can be eliminated.

Telugu movie Prayanam 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

One never knows what's going to happen in the next two hours. Anything is possible even in the next 15 minutes. There is something called "love at first sight" and love can happen anywhere. These are the themes on which the movie Prayanam is based. Believers in these types of thoughts will definitely be transported in to a dreamland watching Prayanam. Others will find the movie extremely enjoyable too.

Based on a love story that happens in an airport, the movie is nearly flawless in direction. It is difficult to sustain attention and keep the audience riveted when the plot moves slowly and there is not much of a story. There was every chance that the movie would have become a drag without any fight, any flashback, and any duet song. But the director and the actors have done a magnificent job.

The director and actors have paid attention to every detail and made the movie look as real as possible. It has an unmistakable aura of make belief and feel good. A brilliant idea has got right support from the actors and the result is beautiful.

Manchu Manoj Kumar and Harika have acted really well in the lead roles. Even the supporting artists have worked hard at performing in a relaxed manner.

While the love story meanders through twists and turns, the comedy track runs smoothly, thanks to Brahmanandam. But it is a little sad that rank new comers and junior artists get away with treating Brahmanandam shabbily in the movies. Wish directors and storywriters would keep the stature of Brahmanandam in mind.

Prayanam is squeaky-clean entertainment and for those that believe in true love and love at first sight this is the movie of the summer.

Sushanth (sushanth) and Sneha (sneha) are like two poles apart. While Sushanth is more the happy go luck guy who believes in living for the moment and does not believe in thinking about the future, Sneha is the opposite. However, their paths cross each other and Sushanth falls in love with her at the very first sight. Though Sneha turns him down initially, in no time she also starts developing feelings for him. Soon, they fall in love and the time comes for Sushanth to meet Sneha’s father (Charanraj). He arrives late as usual and also talks very casually without any seriousness to him. Sneha’s father does not approve of this but leaves decision to her. Even she tries to convince Sushanth but then he is adamant on living like that. Then Sneha asks Sushanth that he should take away those feelings of love from her heart since he was the one who started it all. Sushanth gets pricked and from then on starts his attempts to kill those feelings for Sneha. Is he successful or not forms the rest of the story.

The film has been made with decent technical values but then the content part should have been more streamlined. While the first half of the film goes with the regular elements of comedy and songs, it is just before the second half that the plot actually gets into shape and though the second half has also got some intense moments, the climax could have been more polished and could have caused some anxiety for the audience. The lack of consistent comedy is another factor that needed to be worked. Overall, the film would generate interest at few parts and keeps fluctuating on highs and lows. It appeals for youth audiences especially with second half for the emotional depth in it.

Telugu movie Raju Maha Raju 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

For those who have loads and loads of tears to shed, don't miss watching "Raju Maharaju" which reminds one of the films frequently made in the '80s. The only difference is that this movie passes off as more sophisticated than those films.

The story is about a rich man Chakravarthy (Mohan Babu), his virtuous wife (Ramyakrishna) and his brother Kalyan (Sharwanand), a carefree guy. One day, Kalyan mows down and kills a guy (Nasser). The deceased incidentally happens to be the father of the girl he loved.

Chakravarthy pleads the girl to withdraw the case, for this the girl demands the transfer of all his assets in her name. The 'king of sacrifice' Chakravarthy does it out of his love for his brother Kalyan.

Rest of the movie tells you how Kalyan realises his brother's good-natured heart and how he transforms into a responsible guy.

"Raju Maharaju" possesses an overdose of melodrama, hackneyed dialogues, and a lot of other things that will make you rush back home to watch your aunt's favourite sob-opera on TV. The whole revenge bit is a bit too much - for example, the way she gets someone to slap on him a sexual harassment case at his office.

Mohan Babu eases through his role with his characteristic finesse. So does Ramayakrishna, the veteran. Sharwanand gets a neat role to play though it develops some negative streaks in the first half. Tasu Kaushik looks glamorous and oozes sex appeal.

Hope director Durga Shankar Nath gets his act right the next time around!

Telugu movie Pista 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

The movie starts with such a loud noise and sends out an early message that nothing is right about it. It starts with a typical movie background music hearing, which one can immediately expect the quality of the scenes that are going to unfold. Barely a few minutes in to the movie and the audience realizes that its money and time have been wasted. The title and the promos promise a lot and the makers fail to deliver.

Neither Vishal's acting, nor does the story have anything worthy writing about. If the story is weak, the dialogs are weaker. Having watched the same type of fighting scenes it can be safely said that the fights in the movie are utterly boring.

Another downside of the movie is that Prakash Raj and Shayaji Shinde are the villains in it. People have watched them in countless movies. Why is not anybody thinking of finding newer villains or putting older villains in newer and challenging roles?

Krishna (Vishal) comes to Visakhapatnam in search of his elder brother. His elder brother had run away from home when he was a kid. How Vishal finds his elder brother and in what circumstances form the gist of the story.

Vishal's acting lacks authenticity. The director's imagination matches that of a school going kid. Shreya's acting is all right, but she hardly plays any vital role except as the love interest of Vishal.

The music of the movie also keeps pace with everything else and does not rise from the over all sub standard quality. There is hardly any comedy. Whatever comedy is there it actually makes us cry.

In the climax scene when the interest should be at its peak, viewers find themselves waking up from small naps.

Gosh, hardly watched a movie so boring in a long time. But even such a movie has one good thing - good acti

Telugu movie Kick 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Known for his action films, director Surender Reddy has attempted to partly bank upon the recently acquired comical image of lead actor Ravi Teja after his commercially successful "Krishna".

The script of "Kick" is more-or-less based on Hindi hit "Dhoom" sans the technical brilliance.

The commercial angle suffers as the script accords its hero a needless do-gooder Robin Hood image to justify blatant robberies.

A Casanova thief Kalyan (Ravi Teja) romances and robs strictly for 'kicks'.

A casual girlfriend Naina (Illena) discovers that she has been taken for a ride while he pretends to have turned a new leaf. She gives him the brush off in favour of a marriage with an intelligent cop Krishna (Shyam), who is on an assignment to catch the thief.

The rest of the tale is all about Kalyan succeeding to win his lady-love's heart and hand after emerging from all his petty predicaments amidst Malaysian locales.

The first half has a generous dosage of comedy involving the main protagonist and actor Bramhanandam that just about passes muster.

The lead pair's attempts at love are good, thanks to their on-screen chemistry.

After the intermission, "Kick" loses its zing and meanders towards its melodramatic climax unconvincingly.

While Thaman's music is nothing to write home about, cinematographer Rasool Ellore's frames sustain some interest in the proceedings.

Else, the whole package basically consists of the usual frills like a glamorous heroine, in this case Illena, and a few impossible stunts.

Tamil movie Thoranai 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Thoranai' is a typical masala film with all the right ingredients for mass entertaining, but made of a weak script.

Murugan (Vishal), a happy go lucky young man from Madurai arrives in Chennai in search of his elder brother Ganesan. Ganesan had run away from home, after he was beaten by his mother as a child for tattooing a girl's name on his chest. The mother, feeling guilty about the incident often pines for her elder son. Murugan promises his mother to bring Ganesan back. On his arrival in Chennai, he finds the city in the grip of two gang leaders, namely Tamilarasu (Prakash Raj), a drug dealer and Guru (Kishore). The two leaders are often at each other's throats and let loose a reign of terror and gore. Murugan witnesses a murder by Guru and his gang. Tamilarasu warns him to appear as the witness against Guru.

Just when you think that Murugan has found his lost brother, the director brings in a twist. And that is the only interesting bit about the film. Otherwise, it fails to impress. An out and out commercial pot boiler, it has an overdose of violence, songs and unrealistic stunt scenes. Fancy Vishal bashing up more than five to six goons at a time.! Shriya in minimal and outlandish, not to forget revealing costumes is paired opposite Vishal. She passes off as mere eye candy lending glamour to an otherwise boring film. Vishal fails to impress too and Prakash Raj as the baddie is wasted in his role. Kishore with his subtle acting is good.

Santhanam keeps the audience chuckling with his repartees in his distinctive style of delivery. Front benchers will love the comedy scenes. Oh yes, there is a message also about a life of violence not being worth it. As for music, you have a koothu song and romantic duets numbers that do not leave a mark. Vishal's latest flick is best seen on TV on a lazy afternoon.

Tamil movie Kulir 100 Degree 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review
Kulir 100 degrees' is director Anita Udeep's debut film in Tamil. The film revolves around the lives of adolescents and their life in a school hostel after class hours.

Surya (Sanjeev), a young lad in class XI bashes up his teacher along with some friends. He is arrested the following day but released on the intervention of his father, a tough goon in the neighborhood. Surya's mother does not approve of his father's lifestyle, the reason for their separation. She is worried that her son will also go his way. So to keep him away from his father's influence, Surya is sent to a boarding school, Lake View on a picturesque hilly station. Here Surya meets his friend, Bablo, a fat boy whose only passion is food. Tanya, the Principal's daughter is drawn towards him. However, his seniors, Ashok, (the Principal's son) and Rohit, members of the Student Council do not like his bold attitude. They try to make life miserable for Surya. Surya takes it in his stride keeping in mind the promise to his mother, until the night Bablo is dead. Did Bablo die due to health reasons as mentioned in the police reports?

The story is a little tackled theme and a change from the run of the mill stories that are doled out in Tamil Cinema. It is a relief watching new faces, young, innocent and fresh. Sanjeev as Surya renders a mature performance and the boys who played the roles of Ashok and Rohit support him well. Riya as Tanya looks appealing. Bobo Sashi as Bablo keeps the audience chuckling. The major plus of the film lies in its visuals. Excellent cinematography by L.K. Vijay. For around two hours you forget the madding crowd of the city. Music is peppy.

But the film could have been packed with more emotional anecdotes, especially since it deals with the lives of teenagers. It has been restricted to fights and bullies. Tanya's role is cut short too when she is sent off to Delhi for psychiatric help by her father.

Nevertheless, a promising effort by a debutant and her attempt to steer away from formula films. 'Kulir 100 degrees' entertains and can be watched.

Tamil movie Masilamani 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review
watching for the tickets we paid. You don’t tend to witness an unparalleled show of piece with a far-behind expected storyline. So simple in terms of script, the plotlines have been splendidly blended by Manohar.

Maasilamani aka Maasi (Nakul), a reigning savior of slum-dwellers in his area jumps across the clouds, hits the baddies, brings justice to his people. (Can’t imagine that chubby boy in that role, right?). But the scenario doesn’t prevail for a long time as soon the backdrops are changed. Divya (Sunaina) hailing from a rich family backgrounds attracts him to a greater extent as he falls in love with her at first sight. Precisely, Divya happens to catch him in bad situations of hitting others. However, to win over the heart of this girl he has to first conquer the interests of likeliness from her family members. Will he strike his luck of joining hands with her forms crux of the story.

Nakul has matured a lot from his previous film. Well, the previous ‘Kadhalil Vizhundhen’ had much alike showcasing him in serious characterization. But over here, he has lots to get on with comedy, action and emote to various situations. On the pars, Sunaina does a blissful task on dancing and got more scope to perform. She’s soon to be the heartthrob of Kollywood. Although Santhanam, Srinath add to the humorous parts, it’s MS Bhaskar reigning with best on imitating all the actors of Kollywood. Delhi Ganesh, Pawan have done justice to their roles.

Musical score by Imaan is a highlighting factor as all the songs are quite enjoyable on heeding to. Cinematography by Thiru is much enhanced than Thennavattu where he shook the camera to the extreme.

Manohar has implemented smart moves by protagonist that was appraised every time.

With an interesting screenplay with right mix of comedy, action, romance and sentiments, Sun Pictures has picked the right film in hand

review

Meanwhile, a man who is ready to spill the bean on Thondaman's murder is chased by police commissioner Kishore. Before he is bumped off by the cops, he leaves a laptop with Azhagu and Sathya. Twists and turns leave the cops chase the duo to retrieve the laptop. The race begins as the two come to know the content in laptop throws light on the murder of Adhiyaman. What follows next is a contrived climax.

Sequences defying logics are rampant towards the latter half. The twists around the laptop are just idiotic, to say the least. A dual hero subject laced with multi-layered crime and intricacies of love could have been handled much better.

Daniel Balaji plays Azhagu that is quite typical of his earlier films. Though uncomfortable in dance and romantic sequences, Balaji hogs enough screen space. Sathya, who is introduced as a happy-go-lucky youngster, slowly fizzles out with nothing much to do on screen.

Debutante Manjari Fadnnis looks good but disappoints in her performance. She plays the typical commercial movie heroine, who has good looks and no brain. However Lakshmi Rai manages to sustain some interest with her screen presence thanks to a good blend of skin show and performance. The rest of cast including Ponvannan, Kishore and Haneefa could not leave any mark in cliched roles. The much hyped item song featuring Rakhi Sawant doesn't live up to the expectations.

Letting down the director is Yuvan Shankar Raja's musical score, which reminds one of his earlier tunes in many places. However, the songs have variety and vigour to keep the audiences glued on seats during the song sequences. A duet on Denial Balaji and Rai has been canned beautifully thanks to cinematographer Saleem and Rai's glam show. Cinematographer Saleem (Jeeva's associate) is the only clear winner in the film, catching the sequences with a touch of gloss.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is scheduled to appear in theaters on June 24th, but IGN and TotalFilm have already seen it and put up their reviews. Here are a few excerpts:

IGN UK: Epic, spectacular but unfortunately far, far too long; the film proves that when it comes to Michael Bay blockbuster movies, you can have too much of a good thing.

TotalFilm: Fallen so frequently approaches the first pic's all-out awesomeness, and even occasionally surpasses it - notably in an opening blitzkrieg in Shanghai and a forest face-off between Optimus Prime and three Decepticons - that it's this close to being the perfect summer flick.

review
Love Aaj
London, San Francisco, Delhi - 2009.
Jai and Meera is a modern-day couple in London. They are very happy together but do not believe in tying each other down. So when life pulls them in different directions, they decide to go with the flow. "These Heer-Ranjha, Romeo-Juliet type janam janam ka saath type couples exist only in story books," Jai says. In the real life, we have to be practical.

Love Kal
Delhi, Calcutta - 1965.
Veer Singh is struck by a thunderbolt when he sees Harleen for the first time. Soon after, he stands under a tree and swears that "is janam mein aur har janam mein... yehi meri votti banegi - Harleen Kaur." He travels a thousand kilometers by train to stand under her balcony only to have a glimpse of her face. And yet not speak a word with her.

Love Aaj Kal
Veer does not understand how Jai can treat matters of the heart without passion, like a financial transaction. Jai does not understand how Veer Singh could have been so naive and silly about Harleen in the days of his youth. But as both stories unfold, we realize that the process of relationship might be different in different eras, but the experience of being in love remains the same. So there is the frolic and despair of modern living, the liberation and confusion. And there is the past - the times of innocence and compulsion. And there is distance, and the fondness that increases with distance. Gaps widen between two people, but bridges keep growing too.

No matter how many times they are pushed together, there are only fireworks...no fire. Simrita Rai (Kareena Kapoor) is a firebrand who is more than able to stare down the most arrogant male with her caustic wit and sardonic tongue... her firm belief "there's no such thing as love".

So what happens when the two people who hate each other the most meet at Simrita's best friend Kamini's and Viraj's brother Lucky's wedding? ... a wedding that both Viraj and Simrita are violently opposed to and desperate to stop.

Sparks fly, absurd, hilarious situations until one dramatic twist of fate binds the two together in a manner that they could have never ever even dreamed of in their wildest fantasies. The battle of the sexes on. Who is going to throw the punches and who is going to blow the kisses?

Hindi movie Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein 2009 Watch & download Free,Wallpapers, movie review & cast and crew and trailers online

review

Hum Phirr Mileinge is yet another film that has its title modified for numerological reasons, with a hope that an extra 'r' and 'i' can rake in the moolah at the box-office. Well, not even the best numerologist could have saved this disaster directed by Manish Goel.

Over the years, having been subjected to watching most of the crap, that B and C grade Bollywood films dish out week after week, I have actually started enjoying them. Deshdrohi for example was one of the funniest movies I have seen in my life; you can call it unintentional funny.

Hum Phirr Mileinge is one such film that could make a Bollywood fan laugh-out-loud at some of the sequences; it's that weird and stupid. The very first scene, which by the way is meant to make you laugh, has a woman looking at herself in the mirror, asking her husband how she's looking. To which, the man ridicules her to tears. You got to see it to believe it!

On a serious note, the film is just a mixture of many classics from the past, with new actors and a director, who doesn't deserve to be called one.

Poor direction, cheesy dialogues, confused script, horrible performances, disastrous make-up... Put everything together and we have Hum Phirr Mileinge. The music too is average.

Sarvar Ahuja, a decent actor, is terribly letdown by the script. An extra K for KKhushi doesn't seem to have helped, poor performance. Rati Agnihotri is good. The rest are fine. Riya Sen has a special appearance, which is great; a full-fledged role would have made this film a bigger torture.

To sum up, watch Hum Phirr Mileinge on DVD just to see how stupid a film can be! What were the makers thinking

Japan Movie Nobody To Watch Over Me Full Review&Cast,Download Online

There’s an eerie sense of realism to Ryoichi Kimizura’s latest film, a movie that works on so many levels that it’s simply captivating to watch. It begins with a prologue of what happens when a minor is arrested in Japan- in such circumstances, the family members of the accused are separated for questioning while the police are tasked to protect them.

Why such police protection is necessary becomes apparent in this story that unfolds documentary-style when an 18-year old boy is arrested in his suburban home for the horrific stabbing of two young sisters. Almost instantaneously, the peace of the usually quiet neighbourhood is broken by the presence of hundreds of reporters. Yes, scandal and crime have always been fodder for sensationalism and the media can no doubt sense a good story when they see one.

The focus of Kimizura’s movie is on the accused’s sister, a 15-year old fresh-eyed secondary school girl called Saori (played beautifully by Mirai Shida) whose life is suddenly turned upside down by the media frenzy. Unsatisfied with the suspect in custody, the public, with some generous help from the media, have quickly turned the blame to her entire family, calling on them to apologise. And in turn, the press have set after each member of the family like hound dogs chasing their prey.

Assigned to protect Saori is Detective Katsuura (Koichi Sato), a weary police officer still traumatised by an incident three years ago. No thanks to the vigilance of a certain reporter, his past has been dredged up by the press, and by association with Saori, becomes the target of their scrutiny as well. However inopportune, this is their bond- both victims of a critical media carelessly fanning the tide of negative public sentiment against them.

With a deft hand, writer/director Kimizura vividly brings to light what it means to be trialled by the media and pronounced guilty by a reproachful public. Don’t be too quick to dismiss such a circumstance as far-fetched- just think of how the foreign press too quickly came to the conclusion that pilot suicide was behind the Silkair crash some ten years ago, a mere conjecture that was later Kimizura also makes his warning more prescient by alluding to the dangers of the new media, a media so open that the lines between media and public blur. Founded on the basis of speed, it is also where rumours and gossip easily spread like wildfire. And perhaps even direr, it is under a cloak of anonymity that many netizens simply let their words and feelings run callously free. Yes, if we haven’t thought about what it feels like to be a subject chewed up by the media, here’s a perfect opportunity to do so.

But more than just a criticism of the media, Kimizura’s film also packs a powerful message about family. Both physically and symbolically, Saori finds her family abruptly ripped apart by the actions of her brother whose reasons for his crime will only become clear at the end. Extreme though it may be, this is still a persuasive cautionary tale about family dysfunction and its ramifications on every member within.

Nicely complementing this story arc is Katsuura’s own family woes- a wife about to launch divorce proceedings against him and a daughter making a last-ditch attempt to save their family. While it probably comes as no surprise that Katsuura will eventually find his redemption, both domestically and professionally, he does so in a particularly poignant way that drives home the significance of treasuring the family we have. proved unfounded, and you’ll realise such a predicament can indeed happen in real life.
