Superstar Mammootty would soon be busy shooting for his upcoming family thriller Daddy Cool. The film is been produced by Alvin Antony and Khader Mayyazhi under the banner of Wall Green Productions. It’s been heard that cricketer Sreesanth would don the role of Mammootty’s son but the same is still to be confirmed. Assistant to veteran director Kamal would be making his directorial debut with this flick. Daddy Cool narrates the story of a cricket-loving police officer named Antony Simon (Mammootty) and his son. Richa Pallod is the heroine. Bijipal has composed the musicon the lyrics jotted down by Anil Panachooran. Sameer Thahir would be capturing the movie in his camera.
Aashiq Abu, assistant of Kamal is directing the film Daddy Cool. The shooting will begin on March 2nd at Kochi.
The story is about the relationship between a Dad and son. They admire each other. All the foolishness done by the son is well supported by the dad and mother gets fed up with them. The dad is a Crime Branch police officer named Antony Simon and the son the seven year old Aadi Simon.
The lyrics are by Anil Panachooran, Santhosh Varma and Venu. Biji Bal has scored the music. Sameer Thahir will wield the camera. Richa Palod is the heroine of Mammootty. Other cast include Indrajith, Kala Bhavan Mani, Sai Kumar, Vijaya Raghavan, Babu Raj, Suraj, Anoop Chandran, Radhika, Lena and others. Alwin Antony is the producer.
