Stuttgart coach Christian Gross insists his side will travel to the Allianz Arena tomorrow looking for all three points to keep them in the hunt for a place in Europe next season, even if their opponents are Bayern Munich.
Stuttgart have the second-best record in the Bundesliga since the turn of the year and have managed to climb away from relegation danger into contention for a top-six finish.
But they face the strongest German team in 2010 tomorrow and Gross admits it is going to be tough to beat them.
"The prize is always hard to find in the Allianz Arena,'' he said. "But we will be highly motivated and try to take on this huge challenge.''
Stuttgart have not won in Munich in over a decade and the fact Bayern were involved in a keenly-fought DFB-Pokal semi-final over 120 minutes against Schalke on Wednesday will not make their chances any easier, according to Gross.
"When you win, you forget about the extra work,'' he said.
Bayern's coach Louis van Gaal is concerned about the after-effects of that game, on the other hand.
"It will be tough to get back both physically and psychologically on to the field with a winning mentality,'' he said.
But they won't have much time to catch their breath over the coming weeks.
After hosting Stuttgart, Bayern entertain Manchester United in the quarter-final of the Champions League on Tuesday before travelling to second-placed Schalke in the Bundesliga next weekend.
They then travel to Manchester and follow that up with a trip to third-placed Bayer Leverkusen to end a pivotal fortnight in the Bavarians' season.
With such a gruelling schedule ahead, Van Gaal may rest a few players tomorrow while Franck Ribery is almost certain to remain on the bench to preserve him for Tuesday.
Gross has to decide whether to stick with Ciprian Marica in his attack after his two goals earned all three points against Hannover last weekend or recall his regular striker Cacau.
