Penpattanam Malayalam (2010) Story
Attempts are being made to tell stories that are quite different from the routine in Malluwood. 'Penpattanam', directed by V M Vinu is one such endevaour that takes a look at the struggle for survival of four women who are Kudumbasree workers.
Penpattanam SYNOPSIS
Based on a story by director Ranjith, ‘Penpattanam’ has KPAC Lalitha, Revathy, Swetha Menon and Vishnupriya donning the roles of the four women. For each one of them, life is a battle, and each one has to find her own ways to get through it.
Though a women-oriented film, ‘Penpattanam’ will have a few prominent male actors lending the ladies the support. Kailash, Nedumudi Venu, Lal, Siddique, Abu Salim, Augustin, Sivaji Guruvayur, Vijay P. Nair, Musthafa, Dinesh and Sreejith appear in key roles in the film.
The film has been scripted by T A Razak. Kaithapram and Anil Panachooran have penned the lyrics, and M G Sreekumar has composed the music of the film.
The technical crew includes Sanjeev Sankar who has handled the cinematography and P C Mohan who has done the editing.
Produced by Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachitra, ‘Penpattanam’ was shot in a single schedule and is ready for release.
