UFC President Dana White Doesn't Want Fedor In The UFC

According to Fighters Only Magazine, an unnamed source close to the Brazilian fighter revealed the news, adding he’s not ruling out taking another fight before facing “The Last Emperor” again.
Fedor’s management team over at M-1 Global are pushing hard for an immediate rematch, keen to set the record straight after what was the shock result of 2010 so far. Stay tuned to MMABay in the coming days for more on this as we get it.

One of the storylines coming out of Fedor Emelianenko's loss to Fabricio Werdum last Saturday at Strikeforce and M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Werdum was whether or not Fedor losing would make it more or less likely than before to see him make it to the UFC.

Well, UFC President Dana White has given an answer to that question.

Talking to BloodyElbow.com's Luke Thomas, White made it clear that he doesn't have any interest in "The Last Emperor."

"I believe that if we would have been able to take him into the UFC last year, or even right before this loss, and promoted him properly, we could have done big, big business," White said. "Now I have no interest in him. Zero."

White again placed the issue on the MMA media, and as always made his feelings on Fedor's true place in the division known.

"I didn’t think he was great before. It was the media," he said. "As soon as he lost, my phone started blowing up and it was media guys being like, ‘what do you think about him losing?’ What do you mean what do I think about him losing? Did you guys hear me saying he was great ever? It was the exact opposite."

White's comments make it clear that, barring Fedor and M-1 Global taking a lot less money to come into the Octagon, he has no desire to bring Fedor into the Octagon.

"Everybody knows how long I’ve been saying this and everybody probably thought I was just saying it because I couldn’t come to terms with him. I don’t believe a guy who hasn’t fought anybody since 2005 should be considered one of the best fighters in the world."

"Yes, he was one of the best in what he accomplished back in the old days, but he hasn’t been fighting anybody recently. And now he just lost to a guy who couldn’t make it in the UFC."

With the whole world well aware of Fedor's loss to Fabricio Werdum, UFC President Dana White makes it crystal clear that he does not want to sign the former World's Number 1 Heavyweight. Dana White speaks out in promotion of UFC 116 to ESPN radio, also discussing legalisation in New York and James Toney.

It has been revealed that Fabricio Werdum, the slayer of former number one ranked heavyweight, Fedor Emelianenko, doesn’t want a rematch with the Russian for at least eight months, opening the door for another possible rematch, this time with Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem.
