The 911 call made on Monday night from somebody concerned that "American Idol" champ Fantasia Barrino had just ingested a "bottle of aspirin."
The caller -- who was outside of Fantasia's North Carolina home at the time -- informed the 911 operator that Barrino was slowly losing consciousness ... and had been moved into the shower.

The operator instructed the caller to remove Fantasia from the shower.

Cops arrived to the scene a short time later -- and Fantasia was eventually transported to a North Carolina hospital.

Fantasia's rep announced yesterday that the singer was in stable condition

Access Hollywood reports that Fantasia’s reality show, Fantasia For Real will be reworked:

Following Fantasia’s overdose on Monday a rep for VH1 told Access Hollywood that the premiere episode of the second season of the singer’s reality show, “Fantasia For Real,” will be reworked. VH1, which was not filming during the incident, told Access, “[The] premiere episode will be changing. At this moment production hasn’t decided what will change, it’s too soon for us to speak to how these events will change her show creative but Fantasia is an open book so its going to play a part in our series somehow just can’t speak to how exactly.”

You knew this was coming: TMZ has audio of the 911 call made on Monday night from “somebody concerned” that Fantasia had just ingested a “bottle of aspirin.”

* Listen to the 911 call HERE.

The caller tells 911 that Fantasia “took a bottle of aspirin and is slowly losing consciousness” and that he put her in the shower. The 911 operator tells the caller to take Fantasia out of the shower. When the operator asks the caller if Fantasia is bleeding the answer is “yes.”

Cops arrived on the scene at around 8:55 PM to transport Fantasia to the Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville.

Police reported the incident as an overdose/suicide, but in a rather lengthy and unhinged statement, Fantasia’s manager says that she “took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid.
Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time.”

Read yesterday’s post for a blow-by-blow of Monday’s sad events. Get well soon Fantasia.
