MSC Chitra Accident || Mumbai MSC Chitra Cargo Ship Oil Spill ||MSC Chitra Oil Ship Crash Accident

A police constable who was attached with the marine unit of the Mumbai police died today morning. The constable fell off a speed boat near the cargo vessel MSC Chitra, the speed boat collided with another vessel and the constable fell of it. The constable Ramesh Tukaram More was patrolling in the area with three of his partners. The boat was traveling with a speed of about 1.5nautical miles.

A police official of the Mumbai police said that he fell off the boat when he totally lost his balance and he fell into the sea, none of his partners dived in to save him because none of them knew swimming. More also did not know swimming and therefore he couldn’t help himself and he drowned. The constable’s body was recovered later on by the life guards and he was sent to the JJ hospital from the area. 2 of the cargo ships MV Khalijia 111 and the MSC Chitra collided with each other on Saturday; this caused a oil spill on the Mumbai sea coast. The MSC Chitra was a Panamanian cargo ship.
