Teree Sang movie is based on a teenage love story. The film story depicts a teenage girl, 15 year old Maahi living in Delhi with her rich family that gives all her financial support and high education. A boy 17 year old Kabir is arrogant, rebellious and demanding .He is not romantic but he loves. He is too confident of himself and he comes from family low in financial status.
Mahi and Kabir meet one day and they become friends. Maahi likes the way Kabir’s family lives and she feels Kabir is urban and updated in style. Their relationship grows a one day they get alone at a New Year’s Eve to get into a physical relationship. Their night stand together makes Maahi pregnant.What follows is a journey of accepting one’s mistakes & owning up to it, a tale of courage & determination. It’s a cry for help by those numerous Kidult couples that have & are facing such a dilemma in their lives at this very moment. It’s an attempt to bring to light an issue… teenage pregnancy… which is rampant & is growing exponentially in the current Indian society – modern & rural.
Teree Sang movie releases on 7th August in India. It is not a love story movie; it is an educational movie which reveals the hidden problems of teenager. What is the basic problem of youths and teenagers, today? Yes, the move claims that it will solve all the problems which are inside among the teenager.
You can say that Teree Sang is a kidult movie based on new generation. It leads the story of unplanned pregnancy of teenager Maahi (Sheena), who is 15 years old only. She is bubbly, beautiful and child girl of the Puri family, who lives in Delhi. She belongs to rich family and enjoys the best comforts and education.
On the other hand, there is Kabir (Ruslaan Mumtaz), a 17 years old typical guy. He is arrogant and rebellious. He belongs to the poor family. Both are good looking guys and become friends. Their relationship grows day by day and end results come as pregnancy of Maahi.
Teree Sang is able to show the journey of love which turns into mistakes of life. It is not the story of only Maahi and Kabir but whole teenagers of India are suffered from it. Teree Sang movie is trying to focus the issue of teenagers’ pregnancy by which Indian society is suffered – rural & modern both.
After a long time director Satish Kaushik has tried to give something different to the Indian audiences. However, it is not a new theme. In spite of, the movie will attract the audiences due to its new theme. It is comedy based movie which leads the romance and educational topics. The story of Teree Sang has been written by Sanjay Chauhan and Jainendra Jain. It is a small budget movie which is produced by Bharat Shah. Satish Kaushik has acted in the movie also along with director.
Teree Sang is able to show new type of "masala" to the Indian audiences which is liked by teenagers much. It is all about enjoyment of teenagers – drinking, smoking, get together in party, restaurant, kiss, love etc. Teree Sang is a type of kidult love movie. The movie has selected a very good theme which is very new for India. The movie will show the attraction of teenagers which is really not a love. Teenagers love what situation creates in the society and their life, they don’t know. Satish Kaushik will surely present the filmy style of love rather than natural come back in life because it is India.
We all should know that there is already a Hollywood movie on the same theme of Teree Sang – Juno (2007). It was the biggest hit movie and won Oscar along with Another 49 wins & 37 nominations. Juno movie also leads the story of 16 years old school girl who faced an unexpected pregnancy. Her boyfriend is also teenager. She wants to help calling "Speedy Abortion", but her friend Su-Chin, an anti-abortion protester. In the end of the movie life has returned to normal. But do you expect that in Indian society Teree Sang will end like Juno? No, never because name of the movie is Teree Sang. What would be finally, we will watch it on 7th June, 2009. Till now, I am not going to criticize Teree Sang and Satish Kaushik because he will also need some reward by this movie. Here, I am very sure that it will be great commercial entertaining movie that will make aware Indian families and teenagers to move with safe.
