Arriving in theaters on October 30 from Magnet is Ti West's stylish 80's horror homage, The House Of The Devil which has been receiving rave reviews around the web. Set in the 1980s and based on true, unexplained events, The House Of The Devil stars the sexy Jocelin Donahue as cash-strapped college student Samantha Hughes, who takes a babysitting job in a remote mansion with her good friend Megan (Greta Gerwig, Baghead). Shes desperate for money and the pay is good, but something feels wrong, and Samantha quickly realizes that the girls are trapped. As a lunar eclipse darkens the night sky, Samantha finds that her employers dont have a baby at all, and have something truly terrifying in store for them.
It's October 1 and there's a chill in the air, even here in Southern California (as I write this). This time of year, it's always great to revisit old school frights and based on advanced word of mouth The House of the Devil delivers the goods. Written and directed by Ti West ( The Roost ), the film premieres on VOD today courtesy of Magnet Releasing. A limited theatrical run will follow later this month on October 30. Jocelin Donahue, A.J. The House Of The Devil in the same day, I’m surprised a full eclipse didn’t occur over Austin, TX’s Alamo Drafthouse, where the fifth annual Fantastic Fest is being housed. Normally, it would seem an unlikely choice to review two movies in the same breath, but it’s more than appropriate in this case.

We've been really pushing Ti West's 80's horror homage The House Of The Devil on you pretty heavy, but now we've finally got a look at some of the crazies that ensues in Magnet Releasing's film that is now available on VOD, Amazon and Xbox, and will be arriving in limited theaters come October 30 (this is a pretty good movie to see Halloween weekend).
