After their encounter on playoffs, Monterrey get on to claim the Apertura 2009 Title, meanwhile America took vacations and prepare for this Interliga.

With the victory here, America will end as Mexico 2 in Libertadores Cup. America will repeat the team that achieve them the first two victories and barely allowed 1 goal in those 2 matches. Just MF Israel Martinez will be missing.
Monterrey
After claiming the title the team appears like if they haven't won it at all as they have faced many changes, and important players have left the team like:
Fw Humberto Suazo to Zaragoza (Spain)
DF Felipe Baloy to Santos Laguna (México)
MF Diego Martinez to San Luis (México)
Among other not so relevant players. Just one relevant player has arrive to the team:
FW Neri Cardoso from Jaguares Chiapas, and has quickly gather a place in the starting XI.
Cardozo together with MF Osvaldo Martinez and MF Walter Ayovi are the most dangerous players that Monterrey posses,still the team follows the inertia of the previous tournament and was able to clinch a place in Interliga finals, but their record of 1 victory (against and alternative Puebla team obtained in the last minute) and 2 draws, against Tigres UANL and Jaguares Chiapas aren't very impressive.
Another reinforcement that can arrive, but will not be in this match if FW Giancarlo Maldonado, who could take FW Suazo position, but the transfer is stopped in FIFA offices, and could not be valid, and Maldonado will go back to Xerez or Atlante.
The few time that Monterrey had to prepare for this Interliga after claiming the title has been witness in Interliga matches and the worst is their defense just collect one cleansheet and in the other 2 matches at least allowed a goal. As in Primera Division playoffs this match will be tight and disputed, but contraru to that match Monterrey offensive is weaker, meanwhile America remains with the same squad and with an inspired FW Salvador Cabañas, there hasn't been a defense in Interliga capable of stopped them from scoring.America has showed more composite and solid defense than Monterrey.
Predicition
America part as favorite still their recent encounters against Monterrey send the balance more to the center, but the depart of FW Suazo is a major change together with DF Baloy and the team seems to be adjusting to that and the few rest they have after claiming the title. America has prepared more time for this and has been witness in their previous match, therefore America hold the value with this AH.
