Estudiantes-Cruz Azul kick off Jornada 12 on Friday in a tussle that could affect the Group 3 race, but the rest of the league will get in full swing on Saturday, with six games on the slate. Chivas-Santos will meet in the week's most meaningful match as Group 1 leaders Chivas host Group 3 leaders Santos.

SATURDAY

Jaguares vs. Monterrey, 7 p.m. ET

Jaguares only have one win this season, and it came against Chivas. At the time Chivas had not lost a game. Monterrey are coming off a 2-1 win against Chivas and are on top of the table. Jaguares last lost to Pumas 2-0 last weekend. Cristian Alvarez is suspended on behalf of Jaguares, while Monterrey have Aldo de Nigris and Luis Ernesto Perez out. Jaguares hold the advantage against Monterrey in games, and have won both games against the defending Mexican champions in the past year.Queretaro vs. Atlas, 7 p.m. ET

Second place of group one is up for grabs as Atlas pays Queretaro a visit in the jornada 12 of the Bicentenario 2010. Queretaro’s early season run has come to halt, losing 1-0 to Indios last weekend. Atlas have a mixed record winning and losing an equal amount of games; they lost 1-0 against Estudiantes last weekend. The rojinegros have one more point than Queretaro and haven’t fared too well as visitors. Queretaro will be without Carlos Bossio because of suspension and Hector Atlamirano because of injury. Nestor Vidrio is suspended on behalf of Atlas and Romulo Marques and Eduardo Rergis are out because of injury. The same group clash could turn out to be vital as the teams fight for a place in the postseason.

Prediction: Draw, 1-1.

Atlante vs. Indios, 9 p.m. ET

Either win or lose is the current situation that Indios is going through. Indios prolonged their chance of survival last weekend by winning 1-0 against Queretaro but they still sit in last place on the relegation table. Atlante currently sit in second to last place of group three. Last weekend los potros secured a 1-0 win over Morelia. The home team will have a full squad, and Indios will be without Javier MalagueƱo. Indios have yet to win a game against Atlante, but they might have turned over a new leaf last weekend and may continue with their hard work to ensure their survival in Mexico’s top flight.
