And she was game for it. In the scene, Jackie (as she’s fondly called) flaunts her sexy alien body in a yellow and blue-coloured polka dot bikini. And when her hero Ritesh Deshmukh sees her coming out from the pool, he says, “Thank God she discovered water!”
What does the director Milap Zaveri has to say about it? He is quoted as saying, “It is a cute, funny promo and the idea was not to titillate. There is nothing overtly cheap in it and Jacqueline looks very classy in it.”
These promos which are part of the film’s publicity will show Jacqueline’s character Tara discovering unknown, earthly things and she will indulge in activities like gymming, swimming and even sneezing, and these ideas were conceived by Ritesh and producer Nikhil Advani.

The heat certainly did get the better of Jacqueline Fernandez, the beauty from Sri Lanka (which by the way is closer to the equator, hence hotter) while she was promoting her upcoming film Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai with Ritesh Deshmukh and director Milap Zaveri.
On a day when the temperature was above 40 degrees Celsius, the trio drove all the way from Lucknow to Kanpur to promote the film. And at a mall in Kanpur where the promotional event was held, Jacqueline was stuck in the washroom for about an hour as a crowd had gathered outside. The event got delayed and by the time it ended, the pretty damsel hadn’t even got the time to grab a bite. The blistering sun beating down didn’t make things any easier.
So, by the time the event got wrapped up and she stepped in the car to leave, Jacqueline fainted because of heat and exhaustion. Luckily, director Milap Zaveri was with her and gave her something to drink and eat. She did feel better after that.
Perhaps the beauty should carry a dabba and a chilled bisleri with her next time.

His wish list included Katrina, Deepika, Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma along with Priyanka. But the unavailability of dates from the actresses has thrown a spanner in the director’s plan as he has to send the film to the Censor Board by this Friday.
Only Priyanka kept the word and shot for the cameo just after she reached India after shooting Anjaana Anjaani in the US. And whether things will sort out with other actresses is not known. But the director is happy that Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan and Karan Johar will make guest appearances in his film.
The movie starring Ritesh Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez will release on April 9.

There can’t be smoke without fire. When Jacqueline Fernandez bagged another movie with Ritesh Deshmukh and also agreed to do a special item song in his next film, people from the industry naturally started murmuring. So, are the two an item?
Jacqueline, who is new to Bollywood, is getting a lot of help from her best friend Ritesh. First, the two worked together in Aladin and now they will also be seen in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. According to buzz, it was on Ritesh’s recommendation that she signed the film. Not only that, at the recently held Filmfare Awards both walked in together and sat side by side.
And now their friendship has moved onto the Twitter level. Jackie (as Ritesh calls her) too has an account on Twitter and Ritesh is quite a regular on it. But Ritesh, who never confirmed his on-and-off affair with the actress Genelia D’Souza, denies his alleged link-up with former Miss Sri Lanka too. As he tells a tabloid, “I am not bothered by gossip.” However, he likes Jacqueline and finds her a nice girl.
He even denies the fact that he is recommending her to the producers and says that he has nothing to do with her item song in the movie Housefull which already has three leading ladies.
Anyway, they do make a good couple. What say?
