Ten years out of high school, a former high school musical superstar who insists on living in the past discovers that there is more to life than the bright lights of Broadway as his former teacher and mentor prepares for a particularly chaotic opening night performance. Marc Pease, who is ten years out of high school, still lives in the past when he was the star in the high school's musicals. During the course of one day, as his former teacher/mentor oversees the opening night of another show, Pease finally exorcises his demons and realizes there's more to life than Broadway artistry.
The comedy stars Jason Schwartzman as Marc Pease, a man 10 years out of high school and still living in the past, when he was the star in his high school's musicals. Ben Stiller will play his former teacher/mentor, Mr. Gribble while Anna Kendrick will play a high school senior romantically involved with both of their characters.
